Thrive, in collaboration with Bellarmine University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, provides a falls prevention program to educate and strengthen the core body in order to promote independent living.
This class incorporates tai chi and qigong principles of mindful movement that improve physical and mental well-being. This class will be primarily Qigong forms that help build strength and flexibility, and ends with flowing movements that clear away stress, develop balance and harmony, while nurturing your health and vitality from the inside out. The practice can be done standing or seated and closes with some quiet time to enjoy the fresh energy in your body.
Classes are taught by Cathy Schaffer, a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200 hours).
